Shipping
Where do you ship to?
We can ship worldwide, however, shipping is quite expensive outside of the US. We are looking into how to reduce shipping costs, so if you have any information on that please reach out to let us know!
How long does shipping take?
From the moment we receive your order to the time it reaches the post office can take 3-5 business days on average. We try to only ship things Mon-Wed to try and avoid long wait times in warehouses/vehicles especially in the warmer months. Everything is made-to-order most of the time. Freshies MAY take up to 2 weeks to ship in the event I need to make more of the beads that make up the freshies. I do everything I can to make sure orders get sent out asap.
How do I track my order?
Tacking should be provided to your email once the package is dropped off at the post office, but in the event it's not, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask about your tracking number.
Returns
How do I return an item?
All information on returns can be found in our Refund Policy linked in the footer at the bottom of the website.
How long does it take to process my return?
This depends on a lot of things. Once we receive the item we'll do everything we can to process any refund or exchange asap. In the event you need to make a return or exchange you must reach out in an email to discuss the details.
Can I exchange for a different item?
Of course! If you aren't satisfied with the scent of something or whatever the case may be please reach out to us via email and we'll do everything we can to make it right.
General
Candle Care
Trim your wicks to 1/8"- 1/4" every time you burn it! It helps with longevity and ensuring a clean and even burn. If you don't trim your candle wicks (any candle, not just mine) they burn too hot and use up the candle faster. It can also create that black soot you see on the sides of the jar and sometimes throwing off of the wick. The candle should stop burning once it hits the metal tab holding the wood wick and there should be 1/4" of wax left. If you have a candle warmer you can use that to use up the rest of the wax or carefully scoop it out to put in a wax melter.
How long do the candles last? What about the wax melts? Freshies?
Candles can last 40+ hours depending how long you burn them each time. I highly recommend burning candles until they reach a full melt pool (3-4 hours or until there isn't much, if any, wax unmelted around the sides.)
Wax melts are also dependant on how often you use them. I've been able to use 1-2 pieces at a time in my melter being on all day (approx. 8 hours) and the scent last around 5-7 days. This also depends on the size of the room.
Freshies can last 4-6 weeks. In the warmer months, it can be shorter as they are heat activated. They can be a bit harder to smell in the colder months because of this. I recommend getting the vent clips for colder months since they attach to the vents and will get hit by warm air and in the warmer months taking the freshie out of the car or putting it back in the bag to preserve the scent. If your freshie starts to fade you can pop it back in the bag for a couple days and it should revive it a little. In the summer I highly recommend taking the freshie out of the car because they have the potential to melt. I've not had one do this, but it's possible especially in direct sunlight.
Ingredients? Recycling? Ethics?
We use a soy wax blend that is mainly soy wax with a little food grade paraffin (the same stuff that coats fruit and veggies and is even used in chocolate) as a stabilizer and to help with scent throw (how the fragrance fills a room.) There is quite a lot of misinformation about paraffin wax out there thanks to the people that started marketing soy wax back in the day.
The part of a candle that can be most harmful is the fragrance. This is why we only use high quality oils that are free from phthalates, parabens, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and a long list of other undesirable chemicals.
We chose wood wicks because they provide a subtle crackling sound, are organic, non-toxic, and eco-friendly sourced from FSC-certified mills and made in the USA.
The coloring we use for our products is mica powder. They are ethically derived, vegan, and not tested on animals.
All of our packaging can be composted and/or recycled. I like cleaning out and reusing the candle jars to hold pens or create fake potted plants. I'm in the process of creating a way for customers to return the jars for a $1/jar store credit!
Are your products pet safe?
Because we hold the highest standards for our ingredients to be free of toxins, and because each product contains oils that are diluted so as not to have an overwhelming amount of scent, we trust that our products are safe for you to use around pets. If you have doubts or concerns, consult your veterinarian before use and always monitor your pets for signs of sensitivity or stress while any products are in use. Like people, all animals are different and have differing sensitivities! What may be fine for some may be irritating for others.
